My skincare routine was in need of revamping. I was using random samples, squeezing out the last bits of cleanser in tubes, not really using any one product line. So, when I was asked to sample and review the Radical Skincare line, I was excited.
Here's a quick bio on Radical Skincare. They are a short, maximum benefits, no nonsense line based on a radical breakthrough: the Trylacel technology. This proprietary technology combines multiple antioxidants, maximum level of anti-aging active ingredients, and soothing ingredients, to deliver the best in anti-aging protection and repair. Meant for all skin types, it maintains stability and potency of actives to deliver radical results.
I received 2 products: the Age Defying Exfoliating Pads and the Instant Revitalizing Mask. After cleansing my face, I used one of the exfoliating pads. It had the mildest tingly sensation as I swept it across my face. It was refreshing. The pad actually picked up a lot of grime on my face (and I had just washed it!) My face felt fresh and clean.
I followed up with the mask. I am used to thick, pasty textures to masks that firm up and become dry and crackly. I'm also used to recommended wait times of 15-20 minutes for masks. So, I was glad to see that the Radical Skincare mask was only a 3-5 minute wait time. The mask had a creamy, soft texture. I applied a thin layer. The sensation I felt was so unusual, but in a good way. It felt like someone was lightly tickling my face. In 5 minutes, my skin had actually absorbed the mask. I gently washed my face with water; my skin felt super clean and soft.
Now, whether this will be truly age-defying, only time will tell. But it's a positive start to using these products. And a bonus for me: Radical Skincare products are cruelty-free and available at Sephora!
