Happy Kids, Inc: Colgate Optic White Regimen

I am still enjoying and working through my wonderful Sugar 'n Spice Vox Box that I received as a member of Influenster. I received a host of samples to try out and review as a blogger. One of the products is the new Colgate Optic White Regimen. The line includes toothpaste, a toothbrush, and mouthwash.

I've been using the system for about 10 days. I've been a Colgate user previously, so I knew that I would probably like the toothpaste. It's great! It's got that quintessential Colgate flavor and tingle that's not too overpowering, even for a whitening toothpaste. Big thumbs up!

I can't say the same about the mouthwash. I generally am not an everyday mouthwash user. I used he recommended amount to rinse with, but the flavor and taste were too powerful. There was no way I could rinse for the full 1 minute that the directions recommend. If there is any way that they could make it less stinging, then I might like it.

As for the toothbrush, overall the bristles and feel of toothbrush are good. The issue I have with it is the textured head of the toothbrush (the plastic part right below the bristles). When I brush my side teeth, this textured part rubs up against my gums. When I brush my lower teeth, is rubs against my top teeth. It's not pleasant. My recommendation is to make the brush itself slightly smaller and to omit the textured backside and make it smooth. It's possible this texture was intended as a tongue brush? Not sure. At any rate, I would not buy this product based on those features.

With a few minor modifications, I think this can be an overall great line. I didn't really have a problem with teeth whiteness before, so it's hard for me to determine it's effectiveness as a whitener. But as a toothpaste, you can't go wrong with Colgate!
