As a blogger, I get the unique opportunity to review products and try out brands that I might never discover otherwise. I don't accept samples from all inquiries, nor do I write sponsored reviews just because I am a blogger. I am selective. The product or brand has to mesh with my style, aesthetic, and beliefs.
I was recently invited to review the new sunglasses line from Eddie Bauer, Jr.: Sikk Shades. I have always loved stylish sunglasses. While I never would lean toward durable, sporty styles, these ones did catch my eye as a nice blend between style and function. Plus, my husband loves outdoor sports and was excited to try them, too.
I received 2 pairs of sunglasses and some of the stylish beanies they have available as well. Cute shots of my kids quickly followed:

The first of the two samples I received were the Black Huckleberry sunglasses. They have striking blue iridium lenses. They have a style reminiscent of a classic wayfarer, but sleeker, sportier, and more solid looking. You can read the specifics on these here. I did wear these; they had a solid, secure feeling on my face without being heavy. I am always looking for good sunglasses to wear while on a run and these are perfect. And I look cool!
The second pair was the Crisp White Wraparound Qualifier. These have a red iridium lens that looks very striking against the white frames. My husband was immediately drawn to these. He often has a hard time finding sunglasses that will fit his oversized head (sorry hon!). He could immediately tell that these had a broader fit. The style, although at first might seem masculine, works well on girls, too. I was surprised how cute they were on my daughter! For more details on this pair, click here.
So, how did all this start? I've had to pleasure to become virtual friends with Eddie Bauer, Jr. His vision for these sunglasses was to perfect high performance, iconic eye wear that surpasses comparable lines on the market. To do this, he worked with athletes and designers and put the designs through rigorous testing. He's truly passionate about this line.
