I love Christmas lights. We've had ours up for almost 2 weeks now. Part of that was taking advantage of space in our schedules coupled with a beautiful day. Most of you would agree there is something magical about the twinkle of lights during the holiday season.
The holiday season has officially launched at the Oregon Zoo. The popular Zoo Lights exhibition is up and sparkling. I attended with two of my children on a chilly Sunday night in Portland. It was brisk, but it was worth it. Many families and couples were also in attendance, enjoying the festive display.
We started our tour by riding the newly opened Zoo Train. While it was not fully open (it will eventually run throughout the zoo, including the new elephant exhibit opening next year), it was festive and fun, including a fun, blue tunnel.
The Zoo Lights run a nice, circular route along the main routes of the Oregon Zoo. It's easy to walk and Christmas music is played throughout the exhibit.
Be sure to schedule a visit this holiday season.
